(…) The period of time that we are going to talk about here extended from approximately 83,000 to 67,000 years before the great Flood on earth. It was a time when the angels led and guided man. In this early age, the surface of the earth was completely different from today. The continents did not have the form that they do today. Many of them were still united landmasses, and other regions that are now part of the continents were at that time large islands.
On two of these continents were the ancient civilizations of Atlantis and Lemuria, also called Mu. In both Atlantis and Lemuria, there were animal species prior to the evolution of human beings. However, unlike on the continents that later came to be, for example, Europe, America, Africa and Asia, where humans evolved slowly and naturally from primates, in Atlantis a highly spiritually-developed individual came into being by direct divine intervention.
The Bible symbolically describes this act of creation in Genesis 2:7, “The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.” In this way, a creature came into being that was capable of shaping, directing and dominating the material world through the spirit. Beauty, harmony and peace characterized Atlantean life in the “Garden of Eden.”
The Atlanteans lived for a very long time, approximately 280 years according to our current calendar. When they finally died, they consciously passed from their physical existence to the purely spiritual. They did not fear death because “death” as we understand it today, the extinction of consciousness, did not occur. For this reason, families did not mourn for the “dead” but instead celebrated their return home.
Neither human beings nor animals were killed because the consciousness of perfect unity with God and nature did not permit such a thing.
Nevertheless, not all the Atlanteans had the same knowledge or the same level of responsibility. The “Lokis,” who were the initiated masters and healers of the community, cooperated directly with the angels and had jurisdiction over knowledge. The most appropriate translation for “Loki” or “Lokan” would be “Priest” or “Priestess.” There were twelve Lokis under an Archloki, and twelve Archlokis under a Supreme Loki, the Supreme Initiate who “lived in God” and did not need food or drink.
During the era that is described in this chapter, Samael was the Supreme Loki of Atlantis, which was also known as “Karaluanga” or “the Kingdom of the Golden Light.” Atlantis was the name used by foreigners who visited the kingdom on their commercial voyages.
“Atlantis” means “the Omnipotent that supports the world.” In Greek mythology, the giant “Atlas,” who supports the world on his shoulders, reflects the same meaning today. (…)
